Stressed? These 3 videos will help you set your mind at ease

If you’re finding yourself stressed, tired and depressed, this will help.

The life of an entrepreneur has its fair share of ups and downs. We face an inordinate amount of stress when starting and running a business.

There is so much to worry about like whether or not employees show up on time and deliver, ensuring expenses don’t get out of control, making sure that cash flow is managed properly each month, keeping customers happy and constantly looking for ways to drive revenue.

There’s no end to what we can worry and stress about on a daily basis. The key for long term success is dealing with and managing stress.

Are you Stressed?

Everyone is affected by stress differently, but there are some common symptoms you can look for.

  • Mental symptoms – confusion, the inability to concentrate, poor memory, and an overall lack of engagement.
  • Emotional symptoms – negativity, depression, disappointment and low self-esteem, loneliness, withdrawal, mood swings, loss of commitment, lack of confidence, irritability, and increased sensitivity.
  • Physical symptoms – changes in eating habits, differences in sleep patterns, increased drinking, drug taking, or smoking, muscle tension, digestive issues, high blood pressure, and more.

If you are experiencing some of these symptoms, it’s time to do something about it.

Why Meditation works

Meditation helps bring our brains out of the fight or flight response by activating the body’s natural relaxation response.

The term “Relaxation Response” was named by Dr. Herbert Benson of Harvard’s Mind/Body Medical Institute.

It refers to our ability to release chemicals and brain signals that make our muscles and organs slow down and increase blood flow to the brain.

With this, you can access the ability to choose your responses throughout the day rather than reacting automatically.

Here are the two videos I use to help me meditate and get centered when stress is starting to take over me a little too much.

1) Mindfulness Bell – A 5 Minute Mindfulness Meditation

This 5-minute mindfulness bell meditation is great for whenever you want to clear your mind, relax and then get on with your day as quickly as possible. The recording contains nothing but the pure sound of a Tibetan singing bowl being repeatedly struck with a soft mallet.

I use this video when I just need a quick reset after an intense meeting or when I’m just not feeling focused enough. It brings my attention to the present moment and it only takes five minutes.

2) Guided meditation for stress relief

This guided meditation takes you on a journey high above the earth to see their problems from a new perspective.  If you have not done any or much meditation before, this guided meditation will help you understand what you should be doing during your meditation.

It’s only 30 minutes so

3) Indian Flute Mediation

A Very Pure and Amazingly Beautiful, Indian Flute Music mediation, featuring Raag Ahir Bhairav. This Raaga(Indian music) is a Morning Meditation Raag, I use this as simple calming background music for my early morning meditation.

It’s a bit longer at 1 hour but it is great for calming the mind and regaining focused thought.

I hope that these three videos help you find the inner peace you are looking for. Mediation is a very powerful tool and if you haven’t had a chance to try it, this is your opprotunity.
