How to setup your Facebook Group Funnel & Get More Members
Facebook has over 1.47 billion users. You can’t deny the reach and potential of this network when it comes to running an online business.
This is why you need right when it comes to building an audience online in your Facebook Group.
In this post, I will show you how to optimize your Facebook profile & page to grow your Facebook Group using a concept called a Facebook Funnel.
What you need to do this
- You need to have a facebook profile
- You need to have a Facebook group set up for your niche.
- You need a cover photo image designed
- You need a good quality profile photo
If you have all this ready, let’s get started.
1) Set up your Facebook Group
If you don’t have a Facebook group, you need to get one started asap.
Building a group is one of the most sustainable long term strategies for building an audience that you can then turn into customers.
The key to creating a successful group is value, value, value.
You need to bring the people together, provide value to them and encourage all group members to bring value to the group by helping others succeed in the niche your group is focused on. Encourage this behavior and you will grow.
Create your group for the niche you are focused on.
Create a Value Proposition for the group.
A value proposition is a promise of value to be delivered, communicated, and acknowledged.
Your value proposition goes in the about us section as well as in other parts of the content you post. This is one of the most important steps.
Your Value Proposition is what people are going to read and decide if they want to be in your group or not so think hard about what you want your group to be about.
Write your intro announcement post.
Here is one of mine on the right.
You can see that I welcome my visitors and then ask them to participate in the group.
You can ask them to comment, to create a post or go-live.
Getting your group members to go-live can really create a lot of engagement and growth.
On this group, I provide a whole bunch of value in the form of free software, training and other items.
2) Setup your personal profile as a Facebook funnel
When people visit your personal profile, your goal is to get them to your group.
To do this, you need to set up your profile to increase the chances that they do this using a Call to Action.
Call to action (CTA) is a marketing term used that refers to any device designed to prompt an immediate response or encourage an immediate sale. A CTA most often refers to the use of words or phrases that can be incorporated into sales scripts, advertising messages or web pages that encourage consumers to take prompt action.
Step 1 – Create a cover photo with a Call To Action to “Join my Group”. It doesn’t have to be complex, just something simple like this.
When people click on the cover photo, They see the following cover image view. In the photo description, you want to add another Call to Action here to join your group, with a link to your group.
Don’t put anything else here as you only want them to do one thing, join your group.
Step 2) Do the same with your profile picture and add the same Call to action to join your group.
Step 3) Setup your intro and your role and your featured photo.
What we are trying to do with all of these is creating a single call to action that drives everyone to your group.
In your intro, make sure you state what you do and how you help your niche audience.
Keep it simple.
Add your role or title.
Here you can see I am the CEO of the company/group. You don’t have to be CEO. You can be a Coach, Guru, Ninja or whatever makes sense to you and your niche.
Featured Photo – Have just one featured photo with a call to action to your group because right below your featured photo is where you have a link to your group.
Make sure the photo has the same call to action in the description as the cover photo and profile photo above.
Make sure the link to your group is there too.
Now that this is done, you want to find relevant niche groups you can join.
3) Join a Load of Niche Relevant Groups
Every niche is different and all you have to do is search for groups right in Facebook.
If online business and marketing is your niche, here is a list of 23 Exclusive Facebook Groups you might want to consider joining.
4) Post Provide Value To those Groups
These groups are generally private and you need to apply to join and with good reason. They are engaging and valuable groups so spam is just not tolerated.
They are very focused on quality and have strict guidelines to keep the value high and spam and over promotional out.
People get kicked out all the time so, be the best version of yourself if you participate.
Give huge value and it will come back to you 2x
Your job is to bring big value to these groups and the people within them.
Only post valuable content and try not to sell.
In Closing
The idea is that you want to draw people to you and into your Facebook Funnel and then eventually into your Facebook group.
If people start to interact with you and your content, engage them and ask them to join your group.
You don’t want to force people into your group. If you have created a great value proposition and you provide value to the group, people will want to join and your group with grow.
