Turn your drive into your classroom

It takes a lot of work both in learning what you need to know and then executing on that knowledge to create streams of passive income. The more time you invest in reading and learning, the more successful you will become.

Now if you’re like me, it’s challenging to find the time to read books. Balancing business, family and hobbies leaves little time for reading the many hundreds of books I would like to read.

On the advice of a friend I downloaded a great app called Audible a few years ago and I’ve never looked back. Audible provides audio books that you can download to your smartphone or listen on your wherever you are.

I used to commute to work by bike and public transit where I would almost read a book a week while sitting on the bus while the driver gets me to my destination. I now when I drive alone to see clients or run errands I use the drive as my mobile audio classroom.

I signed up for an account for 3 months at $7.49/month which gave me 1 book a month. It’s a great deal as it works out to less than $25 for 3 books.  I click on the business category and the first book to pop up was the PersonalMBA.

The book is about mastering the art of business by covering the most important information that you would otherwise spend thousands of dollars acquiring at a MBA business school. The book is 6 hours long and full of great practical, useful information.

If you’re like me and are busy balancing work and life and just can’t find the time to read, turn your drives into a classroom and you will be more successful because of it.

As of today, I have listened to over 14 days worth of audio books and my income keeps increasing by putting what I learn into practice.
